Following our press release issued on Thursday April 5, informing that we became aware of the death of several fishes in the Santa Cruz creek, Grupo Prodeco provides an update of the situation herewith.

According to water monitoring and inspections with authorities, the Santa Cruz creek has recovered its normal natural condition.

We have continued working in the implementation of our environmental contingency plan to address this incident. Contingency measures include, the suspension of all water discharges to the Santa Cruz creek, biological and physical cleanup activities in the creek, socialization with communities, investigation of the causes of the incident, and operational measures to safely manage the mine water and prevent any other incidents.

We will continue doing everything what is required by our contingency plan and government authorities to responsibly manage the situation and mitigate any impacts. Our priority continues to be the protection of ecosystems and our neighboring communities.
