Prodeco rechaza las amenazas y actos de violencia

February 06, 2018. On January 22 and 23, 2018, the Ambassadors of the Netherlands and Germany participated in an official visit to the department of Cesar and met with different representatives of civil society, communities and institutions.

They also visited Prodeco ́s operations where we had a valuable dialogue and the opportunity to provide them with first-hand information of the activities that our company develops in terms of human rights and social responsibility in the communities of our area of influence in the department.

Today we became aware of threats made specifically against the civil society and community members that participated in the dialogue with the Ambassadors.

We emphatically reject all threats and acts of violence and reiterate our willingness to collaborate with the different authorities in the prevention and protection of life and human rights of the members of the communities.

We ask the Colombian authorities to thoroughly investigate these threats and to take the necessary actions.
