In Colombia, the Latin American Water Funds Partnership have joined efforts with Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, the municipalities of Santa Marta and Ciénaga and the private sector, to promote the conservation of the water sources that supply the municipalities of Santa Marta and Ciénaga.

The aim of the Latin American Water Funds Partnership is to contribute water security in Latin American and the Caribbean, through the creation and strengthening of Water Funds.

Prodeco Group is the only private company that is investing in the Water Fund for Santa Marta and Ciénaga, which has an initial cost of US $1.5 million dollars and will benefit approximately to 1,250,000 inhabitants.
