Prodeco offers its deepest condolences to the family of Mr. ARGEMIRO GALVIS CASADIEGO, resident in La Victoria de San Isidro, municipality of the Jagua de Ibirico and who was murdered in circumstances that are still under the investigation by the authorities. Prodeco condemns this murder, and categorically rejects any action of violence in the area of influence of its operations.

Recently, Mr. GALVIS had actively worked in the waste management program supported by Prodeco in La Victoria - La Victoria Recycles - and as such this murder is extremely disconcerting to us. We had the fortunate opportunity to know Mr. Galvis, who we had the deepest regard for.

We call on the relevant authorities to investigate thoroughly the circumstances of Mr. Galvis's death and to provide the La Victoria de San Isidro community with the appropriate security measures.

We would also like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Mr. CARLOS JULIO GALVÁN CARDOSO, who was also murdered last March 3 in the township of La Loma, jurisdiction of the municipality of El Paso, in circumstances that are also being investigated by Authorities. Mr. Galvan was an important member of one of our contracting companies, and always showed respectful and cordial behavior. He was a valuable member of the team and will be deeply missed.

Faced with these acts of violence that today families of our area of influence mourn, Prodeco reiterates its willingness to collaborate with the different authorities, with the involved communities and, in general, with the other relevant entities for the prevention and protection of life and human rights of the members of the communities that surround our operations.
