Grupo Prodeco and Social Prosperity organized free of charge health brigade in Ciénaga

Nearly 800 people in situation of extreme poverty and vulnerability in the municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena, received  specialized medical attention free of charge by a team of 35 doctors and health professionals.

The health brigade in Ciénaga was possible thanks to the partnership between the State agency Social Prosperity, Fundación Alas para la Gente, the Mayor’s Office of Ciénaga, the National Police and Grupo Prodeco, which joined efforts to bring specialized medical care to the community in different areas of health, such as pediatrics, dentistry, cytology, gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, among others. A second phase of the health brigade will be held this year in the month of August, and includes consultations with specialists and the performance of surgical procedures.

Workers of Grupo Prodeco joined the initiative as volunteers, helping with the logistics of the Brigade, which has been organized for four consecutive years hand in hand with important allies, in order to serve the communities in situation of extreme poverty in the area of influence of Grupo Prodeco in Cesar, and now in Ciénaga.
