Prodeco Group Supports the Colombian Peace Process

We are aware of increasing concerns about historical and current aggression across Colombia, including in the Cesar and Magdalena regions, where we have a presence. We condemn all threats and physical violence across Colombia, including that by illegal armed groups against civil society leaders, and extend our condolences to the victims and their families from all parts of civil society, including Human Rights Defenders and Trade Union leaders.

Public Statement 

March 7, 2017.  Prodeco offers its deepest condolences to the family of Mr. ARGEMIRO GALVIS CASADIEGO, resident in La Victoria de San Isidro, municipality of the Jagua de Ibirico and who was murdered in circumstances that are still under the investigation by the authorities. Prodeco condemns this murder, and categorically rejects any action of violence in the area of ​​influence of its operations.

Prodeco offers its deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Aldemar Parra Garcia, community leader and President of the Bee Keeping Association of El Hatillo. Prodeco condemns this murder, which took place near the village of El Hatillo in the district of La Loma, jurisdiction of the municipality of El Paso, department of Cesar.
